Charles Letts & Co Limited have been printing, binding and publishing diaries for over 200 years. Established in London, Letts moved their manufacturing plant to Scotland over 45 years ago.

In 1988 Horauf produced one of the first BDM 20 Casemake machines for Letts. This machine has proved to be a great success from day one on. Letts produces 25 million diaries on site of which approximately 10.5 million are produced on the Horauf Pocket Casemaker.

The machine runs on a double and treble shift pattern over the year with time out for planned maintenance. This year we carried out a major overhaul spending approximately £25-£30k (our first major spend on the machine).

Such was the reliability of the machine that we have invested in a Desk Casemaker.

We at Letts are looking to purchase another Pocket Casemaker machine within the next year or two –Horauf is definitely the front runner.
